Split[edit]

A lot of rock by countries articles already exists. (See Category:Rock music by nationality), And also Japanese rock is known for J-rock, J-rock became famous music genre. -- Kanghuitari (talk) 06:41, 23 November 2015 (UTC)

I don't see a problem with splitting out the rock section. ···日本穣 · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WP Japan! 16:54, 23 November 2015 (UTC)
If this happens the article should be titled Japanese rock and not "J-Rock". Also, like all those other articles, J-Rock is not a genre. Xfansd (talk) 21:49, 23 November 2015 (UTC)
"J-Rock" is just a shortened version of "Japanese Rock", so that's really splitting hairs. There should definitely be a redirect from J-Rock, though. ···日本穣 · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WP Japan! 22:46, 23 November 2015 (UTC)
I agree with the split and with the title being "Japanese rock".--Cattus talk 21:30, 2 December 2015 (UTC)

January 2016[edit]

So did no one notice someone created J-Rock, or rather they just reverted what was a redirect to an older version? Not only is it titled "J-Rock" and claims its a genre (going against all of Category:Rock music by nationality), but almost everything is unsourced except the "heavy metal" section. This strikes me as a large project that's gonna need several people working together. Xfansd (talk) 23:03, 30 January 2016 (UTC)
